Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Clinician to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary health team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with attending physicians, and contribute to the development of our team's clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive health histories, physical assessments, and develop plans of care for infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic health conditions.
- Order and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and perform other therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status.
- Formulate family-centered plans of care, perform daily documentation, and collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Collect and analyze data as necessary, and perform advanced procedures associated with your credentialing process.
- Serve as an educational resource to patient/family/nursing staff/provider team and other healthcare teams as needed.
- Participate in your own professional development by maintaining required competences, certifying body renewals, seeking educational offerings when available, and participating in the professional development of others.
We are looking for an individual with at least 5 years of ICU experience as a bedside RN, preferably in the CVICU setting, as well as strong clinical experience in an ICU setting as a student. An Acute Care Certification is required. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team, including cardiac intensivists, cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, pediatric surgeons, and other subspecialists as needed.
