Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to contribute to public health through meticulous laboratory testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in LC-MS or Chemistry testing and hold an active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex chemical analyses on biological samples with precision and accuracy.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring all are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Interpret and report test results in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols and quality control standards.
- Participate in the development and validation of new testing procedures and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and test accuracy.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior laboratory staff as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory activities and findings.
- Active and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Mass Spec or Chemistry testing within a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- DAY shift (Mon-Fri OR Tues-Sat)
- $55-$65/hr based on experience level
- Opportunity to transition to a permanent position after the completion of the 1-year contract.
