Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Library Assistant III to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As a key member of our library staff, you will provide exceptional customer service, support library operations, and maintain a safe and secure environment for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reference and technology assistance to library users, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to succeed.

• Work regular service hours at the Library's Information Research Desk, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate records and statistics, including library usage and circulation data.

• Troubleshoot computer, copier, scanner, and printer issues, ensuring our equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

• Support library security by maintaining a safe environment for everyone in the building and ensuring library resources are secure.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency, and two years of experience in library services, office support, or a related field.

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with two years of experience working in circulation in an academic library, customer service, or a related field.

• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with users in a positive and professional manner.
