Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Human-Centric Cybersecurity team at Walmart. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in creating engaging and effective content that drives behavioral change and promotes a cybersecurity mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with subject matter experts to develop technical content and design learning experiences that promote retention and action.
  • Create content that effectively describes and promotes the team's vision and mission, including computer-based training, instructor-led training, awareness campaign plans, and surveys.
  • Curate and arrange live, recorded, and self-paced training courses leveraging psychology concepts to drive behavioral change.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts to inform design decisions.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods to drive behavioral change, including exercises and activities.
  • Define criteria used to judge requirements to drive behavioral change across target audiences.
  • Assist in the development of awareness campaigns and content with an eye toward engagement and driving behavioral change.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in educational psychology, instructional design, human-computer interaction, user experience, or related field, and three years of experience OR master's degree and two years of experience.
  • Proficient understanding of educational psychology and instructional design principles.
  • Proficient in eLearning tools, such as Articulate 360 and Elucidat.
  • Strong visual design skills, including proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and work in a team environment.
  • Strong calendar management and project management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 2 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and the ability to integrate digital accessibility seamlessly.
