About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing high-quality medical care to patients with myeloma and other hematological disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Patient Care
    • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies
    • Formulate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
    • Write prescriptions for medication and blood products based on laboratory results and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
    • Request written consultation from physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed
    • Interpret and evaluate findings of studies and tests, and intervene accordingly
    • Advise collaborating physicians on patient care and report actions taken
  • Ensure Quality Care
    • Evaluate the quality of care provided and recommend improvements
    • Initiate actions to implement therapeutic plans consistent with patients' continuing healthcare needs
  • Provide Education and Support
    • Provide patient education and support on multiple myeloma, treatment, and clinical trials
    • Collaborate with the clinical research team to manage protocol patients and coordinate care
  • Comply with Regulations
    • Ensure compliance with institutional and government guidelines, regulations, and requirements
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Valid Florida APRN License
  • ACLS, BLS, and CITI certification (or acquire within three months of employment)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
