Job Opportunity

EVRAZ North America is seeking a skilled Process Automation Engineer to join our Maintenance team at our Pueblo, Colorado plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing control systems to improve production efficiency, steel quality, and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support rolling mills and steelmaking production at our highly automated steel manufacturing plant
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems to optimize production times, steel quality, and equipment performance
  • Analyze and modify programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI) to improve process automation
  • Develop and monitor performance indicators to track process control system performance
  • Provide on-going maintenance support and resolution of process control system problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Automated Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical education
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in process automation and control systems
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC, drives, HMI software and hardware, and ability to read equipment drawings
  • Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Projects, and PowerPoint
  • Proven teamwork, communication, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
