About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated Immunization Assistant to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. This role plays a critical part in ensuring student compliance with immunization requirements by providing assistance with immunization forms and offering in-person customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in completing immunization forms accurately, ensuring compliance with university policies and regulations;
  • Review submitted immunization documents for authenticity and completeness;
  • Answer questions and address concerns regarding immunization requirements and form completion;
  • Schedule immunization appointments for students at the on-campus clinic or with external healthcare providers;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to immunizations and compliance;
  • Create regular reports summarizing overall compliance percentages and trends.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Previous experience in a professional office setting;
  • Knowledge of immunization policies and ability to learn Mason's immunization policies, procedures, and relevant regulations;
  • Knowledge of basic healthcare terminology to facilitate communication with students and healthcare providers;
  • Able to maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to immunizations and compliance;
  • Familiarity with data entry and database management principles;
  • Effective communication techniques, both in-person and over the phone;
  • Ability to engage with students in a friendly and empathetic manner;
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including patience and active listening.
Salary and Benefits:

This position is salaried, with a competitive salary range of $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
