Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VP of Business Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and driving revenue growth for our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and industry events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business development decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Ensure all aspects of product delivery are complete so that customer enablement and product adoption is seamless and timely.
  • Build and deliver specific market messaging driving key pursuit opportunities.
  • Work with the client-facing teams to ensure teams are enabled for effective services and feature delivery.
  • Analyze competitive offerings and potential partnership opportunities related to the services offered.
  • Facilitate, organize, and attend business development related company events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in a Sales or Business Development role.
  • Minimum 5 years driving cross-functional services, marketing, and sales go-to-market program initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex pursuits.
  • Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements.
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements.
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently; excellent time management.
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), In-Design publishing software, and pursuit tracking software.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background checks.
  • Requires a detail-oriented, self-starter, who takes initiative, able to prioritize, and multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
