This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the university's waste management program by servicing litter control barrels located throughout the university grounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for running recycling routes, picking up recyclable material on campus, processing recyclable material, and working special events. Additionally, the candidate will train student/temporary employees on recycling routes and equipment use, track labor log hours, and maintain equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of routes and pick-up locations, be skilled with operating manuals and work orders, and have the ability to establish a rapport with customers and co-workers. Key Responsibilities
  • Run recycling routes and pick up recyclable material on campus
  • Process recyclable material collected on campus
  • Work special events and train student/temporary employees on recycling routes and equipment use
  • Track labor log hours and maintain equipment and vehicles
Requirements
  • Knowledge of routes and pick-up locations
  • Skilled with operating manuals and work orders
  • Ability to establish a rapport with customers and co-workers
Preferred Qualifications
