These products are designed to accommodate a diverse clientele, including hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks, who require extensive backtesting of intricate strategies that leverage traditional and cross-asset signals, alternative data, and machine learning methodologies. We integrate seamlessly with Bloomberg's extensive high-quality market data and utilize a modern technology stack, incorporating both proprietary solutions and open-source tools such as Pandas, PySpark, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch.

Your Role: We are seeking a seasoned quantitative software engineer with a proven track record in developing systems for quantitative investing. This includes expertise in areas such as signal generation, portfolio construction, backtesting, and advanced analytics. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive individual to join a dynamic team, leverage open-source technology at scale, and contribute to shaping a product with significant industry impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a modular framework for developing and assessing systematic trading strategies, encompassing signal generation, portfolio construction, and backtesting.
  • Develop user-friendly APIs tailored for quantitative practitioners.
  • Collaborate closely with Bloomberg's quantitative researchers to prototype and refine new product concepts.
  • Consider the application of our solutions in both research and production environments.
  • Engage in cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a quantitative developer, proficient in writing production-quality Python within financial technology environments.
  • Extensive experience in software development for quantitative investment processes across equities, fixed income, or multi-asset strategies.
  • Proficiency in handling large financial datasets, including time series and other data structures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, quantitative researchers, and product managers.
  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, computational finance, financial engineering, or mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience on the buy side as a quantitative developer or software engineer.
  • Knowledge of financial markets across multiple asset classes.
  • Hands-on experience with Python's numerical and machine learning libraries.
  • Experience working alongside front office teams.

Compensation: Salary range is between $160,000 and $240,000 annually.
