As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and distribution sector, spending significant time between a warehouse environment and the sales floor to ensure product availability for our customers. You will need to be well-versed in departmental and store operations, including verifying shipments, managing inventory, and resolving issues, all while contributing to a workplace recognized for its positive culture and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect shipments and cross-reference with records to ensure accuracy.
  • Document shipment details, assess space requirements, and manage discrepancies for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for routing materials, such as work orders and shipping orders.
  • Communicate with representatives to address issues like damages or shortages.
  • Package, seal, label, and prepare materials for dispatch.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and online shipping services as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all store departments to provide support and guidance to customers and team members.
  • Assist in resolving customer inquiries and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the management team to oversee daily store operations and act as the Manager-on-Duty when required.
  • Guide and assign tasks to team members to ensure effective project execution.
  • May assist with processing transactions involving various payment methods.
  • Full-time roles require a commitment of at least 30 hours per week, with schedules adjusted to meet store needs.
  • Drive a box truck for merchandise transfers between locations.
  • Supervise various employee tasks within the warehouse.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement throughout the store to access different departments and products.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Regular lifting and physical activity.
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a retail environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to connect customers with suitable products.
  • Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills are necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to drive a box truck between store locations.
