Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized framing solutions to customers, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate framing equipment, including glass cutters and heat presses, to create custom framing solutions.
  • Assist customers in selecting framing options, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the framing department.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutters.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience, preferably in a framing or art-related field.
  • Experience selling products and/or services to customers.
Work Environment

Michaels Stores is a public retail store setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
