Position Title: Lead Cyber Range Architect - (COMPUTER NETWORK ARCHITECT)

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Lead Cyber Range Architect will oversee all aspects of systems integration, management, configuration, operation, testing, and scheduling of the Cyber Training and Exercise Platform (CTEP).
  • Design, maintain, and revise network architectures for events, integrate hardware and software components, establish baseline configurations for training sessions and cyber drills, support Information Assurance (IA) needs, and create and execute range reset protocols.
  • Collaborate in the creation of training scenarios tailored to the requirements of partners utilizing the CTEP.
  • Keep local design documentation and configurations current while working with colleagues on the advancement of CTEP functionalities.
  • Provide training on CTEP usage and configuration, assisting in the establishment of training, exercise, and event virtual environments.
  • Take full responsibility for the technical operations of the CTEP environment, managing multiple interrelated projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must meet DOD M IAT III Certification standards.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Cyber Architect role, with a minimum of 3 years in configuring and operating cyber ranges or computer test bed environments.
  • Proficient in designing and configuring computer networks, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, Active Directory, VPNs, VLANs, and SANs, using both bare metal and virtualized systems.
  • Experience with automation, provisioning, imaging, orchestration, and configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Chef, FOG, Project, Python, and Bash scripting.
  • Knowledge of Cloud, physical, and virtual network architecture, engineering, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Demonstrated expertise with hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, and Xen.
  • Experience in Windows enterprise and Linux server/operating systems engineering and administration, with an understanding of network vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
  • Exposure to a wide range of technologies, including camera systems, ICS/SCADA, IoT, and RF devices.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Required to maintain all necessary training and certifications.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Proficient in office automation tasks, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; capable of typing various materials from rough drafts to final forms, maintaining records, and managing knowledge.

Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance throughout the duration of employment.

Work Environment:

Standard working hours are from 0800 to 1700, with staggered schedules to facilitate classroom availability from 0700 to 1800, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays or during government facility closures.
