Job Overview

Position: Lead Cyber Architect – II (Computer Network Architect)

The selected candidate will serve as the Lead Cyber Range Architect, responsible for comprehensive systems integration, management, configuration, operation, testing, and scheduling of the Cyber Program and its associated ranges. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and updating network designs for events.
  • Integrating hardware and software components.
  • Establishing baseline configurations for training sessions and cyber exercises.
  • Assisting with Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
  • Creating and implementing procedures for range resets.
  • Collaborating on the development of training scenarios tailored to partner needs.
  • Updating local design documents and configurations in partnership with government personnel.
  • Conducting training on the Cyber Program's range usage and configuration.
  • Overseeing the implementation of training, exercise, and event virtual enclaves.

The candidate will have full ownership of the technical operations within the Cyber Program environment and will manage multiple interrelated projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must meet DoD M IAT II requirements.

Experience Required:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience as a Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Cyber Architect, with a minimum of three (3) years in configuring and operating cyber range or computer test bed environments.
  • Proficient in designing and configuring computer networks, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, active directory, VPNs, VLANs, and SANs, using both bare metal and virtualized systems.
  • Experience with automation, provisioning, imaging, orchestration, and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Free and Open-source Ghost (FOG), Project, Python, and bash scripting.
  • Knowledge of Cloud, Physical, and virtual network architecture, engineering, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Experience with hypervisors like VMware, Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM), and Xen.
  • Expertise in Windows enterprise and Linux server/operating systems engineering and administration, with an understanding of network vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with a diverse range of technologies, including camera systems, ICS/SCADA, Internet of Things (IoT), and RF devices.
