Pulmonary Technologist Specialist

Cone Health is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Technologist Registered to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Pulmonary Function Tests: Conduct a variety of tests, including spirometry, lung volume measurements, diffusion capacity tests, and bronchial provocation tests to evaluate pulmonary status and diagnose medical conditions.
- Operate Diagnostic Equipment: Monitor and calibrate diagnostic and therapeutic equipment that measures lung volumes, diffusion capacity, peak inspiratory/expiratory pressures, and airway hyperactivity.
- Record and Document Patient Information: Accurately record and document patient information and test results to provide to doctors for evaluation.
- Communicate with Patients: Help patients understand instructions before a test begins and review test procedures with patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Share test results and comprehensive reports in collaborative discussions with the healthcare team to diagnose and manage respiratory conditions.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy
- Experience: 3 years of clinical experience
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a RRT; Licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as a CRT or RRT; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
