About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Canon Solutions America, Inc. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of technical issues, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate maintenance services for Canon-supported products. This will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to your manager, ensuring accurate information and record keeping.
  • Meet customer demands by providing responsive and accurate Field/Shop/onsite maintenance.
  • Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
  • Showcase strong customer communication and satisfaction skills.
  • Maintain the performance of assigned machines.
  • Facilitate performance at a level which helps to achieve the branch/district's overall metric targets.

Requirements:

  • Hold a High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Possess a basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to successfully complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
  • Ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
  • Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
