This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management Chief Financial Officer. As a Budget Analyst, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing comprehensive strategies and programs for risk management, data management, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate, justify, and monitor the execution of budget plans to fund the implementation of major programs and services.
- Present budget justifications and findings to senior management with minimal supervision or direction.
- Carry out activities leading to the analysis of funding levels, organizational performance, and formulation of the President's Budget.
- Experience leading projects and assignments that involve clear and concise written documents and presentation thereof.
- Interpret and assess the impact of new and revised Congressional legislation on the formulation and execution of budgets.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:
