DutiesAs a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will:Provide analysis, information, and decision support material to assist EERE Office Directors and other EERE management in planning, budget formulation, and budget defense to facilitate meeting EERE's corporate mission.Lead long-range performance and budgetary strategic planning efforts to forecast and effectively plan for and implement DOE projects and activities.Direct the integration of all EERE Budget Office deliverables and ensures products align to EERE and DOE strategic plans, outcomes, and leadership intent.Provide advice to the Director and other higher level officials on organization-wide issues related to budget and financial management to resolve problems and facilitate coordination.Prepare special analytical reports for the Director and is responsible for identifying potential problems and developing solutions.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a United States Citizen.This employer participates in the e-Verify program.If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law. QualificationsSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:Planning, directing, or coordinating organizational financial activities including budget formulation, execution, and audits.Performing in-depth analysis of financial and operational documents to develop recommendations in resolving problems such as funding shortfalls.Applying budget-related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, or techniques to recommend approval, disapproval, or modification of budget requests and justifications and ascertain financial impact on operations.Advising senior staff on the management of financial and personnel resources.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
