About the Role

The **General Manager** is a key leadership position at Magnolia Bakery, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail bakery locations. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of managers and staff to ensure the highest quality food and service, while promoting the Magnolia brand and driving store performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Analyze store performance, troubleshoot customer service issues, and implement solutions to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Manage daily cash reporting, financial auditing, and profitability of the store, maintaining labor and food costs within company ideals.
  • Employee Development: Act as a mentor to managers, develop opportunities for growth and development, and conduct scheduled performance reviews.
  • Inventory Management: Manage dessert inventories and production schedules to ensure the freshest baked goods possible.
  • Training and Development: Oversee all BOH training, scheduling, skill set maintenance, and new product implementation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure consistency in production, following recipes, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Store Presentation: Review and correct store presentation and merchandise setup to maintain consistency with Magnolia standards.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a model for providing community-based service and exceptional guest-centric service throughout the bakery.
  • Compliance: Ensure consistent execution of standard practices, policies, and procedures, adhering to all company policies as stated in the Employee Manual.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: At least 3-5 years of general management experience overseeing 20 or more employees in a Food Service or Retail Service environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong desire and ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse group of individuals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Certifications: Certified in qualifying local food safety protection course.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate computer proficiency with Microsoft, POS software, and web navigation.
What We Offer

Magnolia Bakery offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$105,000 per year, plus quarterly bonus eligibility. This is a full-time position, and candidates must be available to work all shifts, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends. Work scheduled will be 45-55 hours per week, 5 days per week.
