About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Low Observable Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our mechanical design team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing low observable systems to meet the needs of our nation's security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze low observable systems to minimize radar cross-section and infrared signature
  • Develop and implement computational electromagnetic codes to predict and analyze radar cross-section and infrared signature
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products
  • Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early career engineers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 10 years of engineering experience, including low observable technology or radar cross-section or computational electromagnetic codes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with infrared signature analysis and reduction
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical language
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
