About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Low Observable Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our Signature Management & Technology Team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing low observable systems to minimize their radar cross-section.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze low observable systems to minimize their radar cross-section
  • Develop and implement advanced signature control techniques to reduce the visibility of our systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate low observable design principles into our products
  • Perform RCS predictions and analyze results to optimize system performance
  • Document all activities and results, including test preparation, data analysis, and design trades
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Eight years of engineering experience, including low observable technology or radar cross section or computational electromagnetic codes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with absorber material treatments and design
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic fundamentals and RF testing techniques
  • Experience with infrared signature analysis and control
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical languages
