About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Low Observable Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Signature Management and Technology Team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing low observable systems to minimize their radar cross-section.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze low observable systems to minimize their radar cross-section
  • Develop and implement advanced signature control techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate low observable systems into deliverable products
  • Perform RCS predictions and analyze results
  • Document all activities pertaining to test preparation, data analysis, design trades, prediction results, and others
  • Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ten years of engineering experience, including low observable technology or radar cross-section or computational electromagnetic codes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with infrared signature analysis and reduction
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical language
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Experience with computational electromagnetic codes
