Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department at the Kimpton Harper Hotel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Activities: Oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations.
  • Train and Motivate the Housekeeping Team: Provide guidance, support, and feedback to housekeeping staff to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct Inspections and Quality Control: Regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our quality standards and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and efficient problem-solving.
  • Maintain Inventory and Supplies: Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure we have the necessary resources to maintain our high standards.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Staff Shifts: Assist in scheduling and coordinating housekeeping staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Handle Guest Inquiries and Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Uphold Safety and Sanitation Standards: Ensure a healthy and safe work environment by adhering to our safety and sanitation protocols.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role required.
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual a plus.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Proficiency with housekeeping software and systems.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
