We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Uhmchealth. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfecting tasks in assigned areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment
  • Restock and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Assist with linen management and distribution
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of cleanliness and patient satisfaction

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in hospital housekeeping or a related field
  • DOT certification in hazardous materials removal preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
