As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, including resident homes, common areas, dining rooms, and other locations within the community.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Service Rooms and Common Areas: Perform all duties in a courteous manner, maintaining excellence in customer service, including greeting residents and visitors with respect and cheerfulness.
- Operate Cleaning Equipment: Clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and other fixtures; replenish supplies of soap and towels; clean and polish brass, glass panels, doors, partitions, and paneling.
- Maintain Floors and Surfaces: Clean, mop, and treat floors; vacuum all carpet; mix and dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.
- Assist with Special Projects: Assist other departments with cleaning and other housekeeping assignments as needed.
- Report Equipment Issues: Report any issues with department equipment to the maintenance team in accordance with manufacturer's operational standards.
- Housekeeping Experience: Requires in-depth understanding of all phases of housekeeping operations; prior related experience preferred.
- Basic Knowledge of Cleaning Devices: Requires basic knowledge of house cleaning devices, such as brooms, mops, etc., cleaning agents, and sanitation/cleaning requirements.
- Communication Skills: Requires proficient ability to speak, read, and write English; ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions given in English.
- Physical Demands: Requires ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility, using up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
- Work Environment: Work deals mostly with objects, equipment, and/or machines at or within arm's reach; depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance.
