As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that drive life-changing and life-saving solutions for manufacturers in the life sciences and food and beverage industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the discipline deliverables and budget on simple to complex projects of all sizes.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external architects and engineers, as well as clients, construction managers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Task Management: Manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities, and help direct the work of others on projects.
  • Client Communication: Act as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients, other disciplines, pre-con services for their scope areas, and help complete complex project code analysis, plan and prepare bid/permit/construction deliverables (including details and specifications).
  • Design and Development: Develop project documents (e.g. calculations, reports and construction drawings and specifications, etc) for clients according to regulatory and industry standards and work with other disciplines to ensure system designs are fully coordinated from conception through completion.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship to earlier-career engineers on projects related to HVAC, plant and clean utility, plumbing, and compressed gas systems.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (alternatively, a Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical Option).
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
  • Registration: Professional Registration (Licensure).
  • Skills: Advanced experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing/drainage fixture, fire protection, and piping systems designs required.
  • Code Knowledge: Advanced experience with the mechanical/plumbing/fire code, and applicable building codes required.
  • Field Experience: Advanced experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting required.
Additional Requirements
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required.
  • Sustainability: LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design accredited professional preferred.
  • Coordination: Advanced coordination across internal and external cross-discipline project teams, construction trade partners, vendors, and manufacturers required.
  • Troubleshooting: Intermediate experience with troubleshooting issues with mechanical systems required.
