ROLE OVERVIEW

The Audio Visual Support Specialist II is responsible for the management, maintenance, and repair of audio visual and integrated conference room systems and equipment. This position involves daily interaction with clients, ensuring the optimal functionality of all audio visual and integrated conference room setups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dismantle conference areas to accommodate client events
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to sustain client environments
  • Execute support tasks with a focus on quality and timeliness
  • Provide assistance for networked devices
  • Engage with internal and external teams professionally, reflecting AVI-SPL's core values
  • Comply with local safety regulations during all site activities
  • Deliver job site documentation and end-user training as required
  • Install and troubleshoot various audio/video/presentation systems
  • Travel to different job sites as necessary

Essential Skills:

The Audio Visual Support Specialist II should possess the following competencies:

  • Ability to perform routine testing and troubleshoot audio visual technologies
  • Resolve escalated issues from Audio Visual Support Specialist I or escalate to a Level III technician as needed
  • Proficient in reading and utilizing blueprints and audio/video flow diagrams
  • Conduct network troubleshooting for static and dynamic IP addresses
  • Perform remote troubleshooting for local and regional offices
  • Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers, developers, engineers, and project managers to resolve complex system issues
  • Edit software code using audio mixer software to calibrate digital signal processors and eliminate echo and feedback
  • Analyze system logs and settings for codecs, control systems, mixers, and complex broadcast equipment
  • Conduct basic installations
  • Provide reports and adhere to outlined performance metrics
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

Considerations:

  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to modify work hours and locations as needed. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may involve travel to various locations.
  • This position typically operates on customer sites and may involve a construction-like work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Haves:

  • Strong communication skills with employees, clients, and colleagues
  • Proficient in using hand tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Capability to regularly climb and work from ladders, lifting equipment, tools, and materials

Nice-To-Haves:

  • At least 3 years of experience in audiovisual integration
  • Formal education in Electronics or a related field
  • Intermediate knowledge of PC troubleshooting
