As we continue to expand, we are seeking Electronics Technicians responsible for constructing electronic testing apparatus and components. This role includes tasks such as soldering connections, installing electrical components, stripping wires, shaping leads, reporting significant issues to supervisors, and adhering to safety protocols. Electronics Technicians play a crucial role in assembling or modifying electrical or electronic devices and processes, utilizing their training, knowledge, and leadership skills. A mindset geared towards continuous improvement is vital for achieving the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic testing equipment, including cable assemblies, electro-mechanical assemblies, circuit card assemblies, and electronic component assemblies.
  • Operate and program automated wire cutting and crimping machinery.
  • Conduct self and peer inspections to ensure quality standards.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing profitability and quality.
  • Document the assembly process and make necessary adjustments to prints as required.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to propose process enhancements.
  • Guide and assist project team members in problem-solving efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of electrical components and circuitry.
  • Preferred experience in electrical harness assembly or chassis wiring.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to distinguish colors is required.
  • Capable of working with small components, demonstrating excellent eye-hand coordination and dexterity.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
  • To comply with government contract requirements and work in restricted facilities, candidates must meet specific criteria set by federal regulations, including being a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by federal law.

  • Ability to logically interpret assembly notes and engineering schematics.
  • Read and understand wire lists, schematics, build specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in soldering electrical and electronic connections and components.
  • Utilize computers for data entry, access, and retrieval.
