Position Overview:

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various machinery, trucks, and tractors to facilitate mountain and utility repairs, maintenance, and the construction of facilities.

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: May be available.
  • Expected Pay Range: $22.76 per hour.
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full-time hours available.
  • Skill Level: Entry-level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on slopes and operate all equipment utilized by the Mountain Operations team, including Skid Steers, Forklifts, and Backhoes.
  • Monitor equipment performance and promptly address any issues, communicating with the Vehicle Maintenance team as necessary.
  • Engage in physical labor as required by the diverse tasks associated with resort operations.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team and follow directions.
  • Diagnose equipment issues accurately.
  • Assist in training new and developing operators.
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment required.
  • Previous guest service experience required.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor required.
  • Capability to work outdoors in a high alpine environment required.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience required.
  • Experience with power tools preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to lift and carry 100 lbs.

The expected pay range is $22.76 per hour. This range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
