Position Overview:
The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various machinery, trucks, and tractors to facilitate mountain and utility repairs, maintenance, and the construction of facilities.
Position Specifications:
- Housing: May be available.
- Expected Pay Range: $22.76 per hour.
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full-time hours available.
- Skill Level: Entry-level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on slopes and operate all equipment utilized by the Mountain Operations team, including Skid Steers, Forklifts, and Backhoes.
- Monitor equipment performance and promptly address any issues, communicating with the Vehicle Maintenance team as necessary.
- Engage in physical labor as required by the diverse tasks associated with resort operations.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team and follow directions.
- Diagnose equipment issues accurately.
- Assist in training new and developing operators.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment required.
- Previous guest service experience required.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor required.
- Capability to work outdoors in a high alpine environment required.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience required.
- Experience with power tools preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in English required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to lift and carry 100 lbs.
The expected pay range is $22.76 per hour. This range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
