Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of safety and health policies, programs, and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Safety Training: Schedule and conduct regulatory required training for all site employees, assist in the development and evaluation of training programs, and conduct new employee orientation and refresher training in various safety topics.
- Audit and Program Evaluation: Lead and participate in audits of safety systems, update the RC14001 manual as needed, and assist with maintaining OSHA VPP programs.
- Emergency Response: Assist with site emergency response efforts, training, and administration, and participate in incident management teams as needed.
- Incident Investigations: Conduct formal incident investigations to determine root causes and actions to prevent recurrence, and track corrective action items to closure.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in safety and/or related EHS technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of chemical plant safety experience, 2+ years of training experience, and emergency response experience or program administration familiarity.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common PC applications, experience in LMS & Contractor Database applications, and SAP basic knowledge.
