The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking a visionary and accomplished leader to assume the role of Chair and Professor in the Department of Counselor Education & School Psychology. This prestigious full-time, tenured position will provide an opportunity to shape the future of the department and influence the field of counselor education and school psychology.

The Department of Counselor Education & School Psychology is dedicated to excellence in pedagogy, research, and community service, focusing on various areas including clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, school counseling, and school psychology. With a robust enrollment of approximately 275 graduate students, the department has earned a commendable ranking in national assessments. The faculty is committed to delivering exceptional graduate-level instruction while fostering an environment of inquiry and community engagement.

Leadership Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing academic and administrative leadership, which includes:
  • Developing and implementing the department's strategic vision and goals.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Counselor Education, School Psychology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution, with a proven track record of academic leadership and tenure at the associate professor level or higher. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in administrative roles within higher education.
