Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $65 per hour, based on industry standards and location. As a W2 employee, you'll be eligible for medical, dental, vision benefits, 401(k) with company matching, life insurance, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.

Job Responsibilities
This Senior Network Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering and maintaining a Windows-based and Linux networking environment, ensuring the security, stability, and optimal performance of all systems. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Managing and maintaining virtual machines within VMWare environment.
  2. Administering & managing hardware such as SAN, NAS, switches, physical servers, firewalls.
  3. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plan to ensure business continuity in the event of data loss, hardware failure, or other unforeseen incidents.
  4. Maintaining and updating network security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect sensitive information and reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
  5. Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting any issues, collaborating with the IT team and external vendors as necessary.
  6. Providing exceptional customer service and end-user support for network and systems-related issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
  7. Developing and maintaining accurate network documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and inventory records.
  8. Planning and executing network and system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  9. Implementing and managing a robust patch management process to maintain up-to-date system and software security across all network devices and servers.
  10. Collaborating with other IT staff and management to support company-wide technology initiatives and projects, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
  11. Participating in a weekend rotation for on-call IT support, providing timely assistance and troubleshooting for urgent issues that may arise outside of regular business hours.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Windows networking environments, Linux server management, Azure Active Directory, Wi-Fi network, and patch management.
  3. Demonstrated experience in a mid to senior-level role, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  4. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Azure Active Directory.
  5. Experience with Linux server administration, including the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of services such as Apache and MySQL.
  6. Familiarity with network security best practices, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  7. Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and system issues.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members and provide exceptional customer service.
  10. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, working effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  11. Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), are a plus.
