Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Specialist

Eliassen Group is looking for a skilled Senior Network Systems Administrator to join their team in Canton, MA. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our Windows/Linux networking environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability. You'll also collaborate with our IT team and external vendors to troubleshoot any issues and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering and maintaining virtual machines within VMWare environment.
- Managing and maintaining hardware such as SAN, NAS, switches, physical servers, firewalls.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plan to ensure business continuity.
- Maintaining and updating network security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect sensitive information and reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting any issues, collaborating with the IT team and external vendors as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Windows networking environments, Linux server management, Azure Active Directory, Wi-Fi network, and patch management.
- Demonstrated experience in a mid to senior-level role, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with Linux server administration, including the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of services such as Apache and MySQL.
- Familiarity with network security best practices, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and system issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, working effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), are a plus.
