**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Oversee the maintenance and utility staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Train and develop maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and knowledge
  • Work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the maintenance program
  • Manage parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring the maintenance program has the necessary resources to operate effectively
  • Develop and implement financial and accounting procedures, ensuring the maintenance program is run in a cost-effective and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, providing clear and concise information and guidance
  • Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in heavy duty vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial resources, ensuring the maintenance program is run in a cost-effective and efficient manner
  • ASE certified truck or school bus preferred
