Job Summary

We are seeking a certified Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse to join our team at Good Samaritan Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in breastfeeding counseling and be able to plan and deliver care to breastfeeding mothers, children, and fathers with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide breastfeeding counseling and support to mothers, children, and fathers
  • Plan and deliver care to breastfeeding mothers, children, and fathers
  • Perform skills required with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
  • Certified by the International Board of Lactation
  • NRP
  • BLS
  • Successful completion of GSMC medication test
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • Successful completion of Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience as Lactation Consultant

Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
