We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant to join our team at Good Samaritan Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert lactation consulting services to breastfeeding mothers and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive lactation consulting services to breastfeeding mothers, including assessment, education, and support.
- Develop and implement individualized lactation plans to meet the unique needs of each mother and baby.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct lactation assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide education and support to breastfeeding mothers on proper latch technique, positioning, and other essential skills.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of lactation consulting services and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- **Education:**
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- **Certifications:**
- Certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultants.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Successful completion of GSMC medication test.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Successful completion of Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment.
- **Experience:**
- 1-2 years of experience as a Lactation Consultant.
