Job Summary

As a Certified Anesthesia Technician at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in supporting the Anesthesia team in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of anesthesia equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia machines and equipment
  • Assist Anesthesia providers with patient care activities, including insertion of invasive lines and monitoring equipment
  • Coordinate with the perioperative team to ensure efficient OR turnover and patient flow
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an ASATT-approved program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or a minimum of two years of experience as a Certified Anesthesia Technician
  • Anesthesia Technician Certificate from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs and push/pull up to 500 lbs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic EKG certificate/course
  • Certificate of training for Drager or GE Anesthesia systems, or other Anesthesia delivery systems
  • Valid ACLS Provider Card
