Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff and inmates/residents to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of the facility.
  • Develop and implement a schedule of periodic preventive maintenance for equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Review and analyze maintenance work order requests to diagnose problems and ensure correct, cost-effective, and quality repairs.
  • Make recommendations and decisions on matters such as employment, retention, promotion, and other personnel actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required.
  • Seven years of experience in general construction or plant/institutional maintenance required.
  • Two years of supervisory experience required.
  • Additional qualifying education or technical training in a maintenance or construction-related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to four years.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Asset Management system preferred.
  • A valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
