Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Expertise
- Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate patient experience by responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize technology to manage patient care, including registration, appointment scheduling, and data entry.
- Schedule Management
- Process and maintain all schedules for the area of responsibility, communicating schedule changes as needed.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with other clinical specialties to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Financial Management
- Collect all current and past-due patient responsibility balances.
- Prepare financial estimates of anticipated prices for services prior to services being rendered and communicate estimated costs to patients.
- Training and Development
- Assist with training new staff on department-specific procedures and applications.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and recognize trends/issues and escalate to management.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of healthcare software applications.
