Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment with a focus on VRV and VRF Technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform start-up and commissioning of new VRV systems, ensuring proper functionality and educating customers on equipment use and maintenance.
- Conduct technician training, sharing knowledge of VRV systems with colleagues and customers as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC unitary and applied equipment, including logging machines, cleaning coils, and replacing filters.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC issues, including CAT II and III equipment, VFDs, boilers, and electrical and refrigerant circuits.
- Lead the rebuild of CAT II and III level units, directing Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations and training.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing status reports and explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor Level I service technicians, training them on scroll chillers, micro-techs, and CAT II & III equipment.
- Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other relevant data in a timely manner.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
- 3+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility, or 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with VRV or VRF equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- State license or certifications as required by market.
- EPA-approved Universal Technician Certification, as necessary.
- Current first aid/CPR card and OSHA 10 Certification.
