Since 1997, BFS has been operating fire-fighting helicopters worldwide, utilizing a diverse fleet that includes CH-47Ds, UH-60s, and other specialized aircraft. The maintenance of this fleet is upheld by BFS's FAA 145 repair station, supported by a team of skilled professionals dedicated to excellence.

BFS's FAA 145, AS9110, and Boeing certified maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility for the CH-47 Chinook has been serving various clients, including military and governmental entities, since its inception in 2019. This facility specializes in critical components such as drivetrain, hydraulics, and flight controls, playing an essential role in the overall operations of BFS.

The Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator at BFS is an integral position responsible for overseeing parts and tooling requests from the Aircraft Operations and Maintenance teams. Serving as the primary liaison, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant aerospace organization that prioritizes innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate parts requests from Operations and Maintenance personnel and coordinate their distribution.
  • Oversee the movement of aircraft parts, tools, and materials, collaborating closely with the quality assurance department.
  • Manage local logistics for the transportation of components and tools within the facility.
  • Communicate effectively regarding urgent requirements and inventory status to supply chain and warehousing teams.
  • Engage with Operations and Maintenance staff, providing assistance on troubleshooting matters.
  • Provide insights on inventory levels to aid in maintenance decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors to procure aircraft-related components and tools as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations and aircraft management.
  • Familiarity with aircraft components, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Preferred: Ability to interpret technical documentation and a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Willingness to be available for on-call duties during evenings and weekends.
