The Event Beverage Specialist is essential in elevating the guest experience during catering functions at our venue. This role encompasses the proficient crafting and serving of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring a fully stocked bar, and delivering responsible and efficient beverage service to attendees.

The core duties include beverage preparation, bar setup and upkeep, guest interaction, inventory oversight, maintaining cleanliness, and handling financial transactions.

An Event Beverage Specialist plays a crucial role in guest satisfaction and the success of catering events by providing outstanding beverage service and fostering a welcoming environment. This position requires expertise in mixology, superior customer service abilities, and strict compliance with safety and legal standards.

This is an on-call role with scheduling contingent on business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Prepare, garnish, and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and specialty cocktails according to established guidelines.

•Prepare the bar area for catering events, including stocking liquor, glassware, utensils, and garnishes.

•Regularly inspect and maintain bar equipment, such as blenders, shakers, and refrigeration units.

•Comply with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.

•Maintain proper sanitation and ensure the bar area is free from safety hazards.

•Accurately process guest payments, manage cash and credit card transactions, and provide change as needed.

•Serve guests promptly and responsibly, ensuring adherence to legal drinking age service protocols.

The individual is accountable for all responsibilities associated with this position and any additional tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

•High School Diploma or equivalent required.

•Familiarity with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is essential.

•Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local regulations is necessary.

•Prior experience as a bartender in a catering or upscale dining environment is mandatory.

•Experience in a hotel setting is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Must be authorized to work in the United States.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

•Project and time management skills are essential.

•Experience in banquet bartending is preferred.

•Strong attention to detail is crucial.

•Must be at least 21 years of age.

•Must be able to lift 20 pounds or more.
