Position Summary

The Program Director will oversee the daily operations at Emerson House, ensuring that programmatic excellence and service delivery adhere to established protocols. This role involves supervising staff through direct interactions, clinical meetings, and training sessions. The Program Director will also play a crucial role in staff recruitment and termination processes. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to develop and implement treatment programs for substance abuse and mental health that reflect current professional trends and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical activities to maintain established standards of practice.
  • Ensure adherence to guidelines set by state licensing, JCAHO, DPH, BSAS, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Foster effective relationships with community health agencies and internal departments.
  • Review operational procedures to identify areas for improvement and engage in quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of program budgets and ensure financial compliance.
  • Collaborate with management to assess needs and promote Gosnold's mission and values.
  • Apply regulatory and accreditation standards to enhance facility and program practices.
  • Provide direct clinical services as needed, in line with clinical privileges.
  • Coordinate activities among a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with health and human services agencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Seven years of progressive management experience may substitute for academic qualifications. Licensure as a LADC1 may also be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.

Experience: A minimum of five years of clinical experience in addiction or mental health treatment programs.

Skills: Proficient knowledge of clinical program management and operations.
