Solar Product Manufacturing Engineer

Join Q-Cells in developing and operating solutions and automation/material control interfaces in our solar product manufacturing line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain MCS systems in our solar product manufacturing line
  • Analyze, design, and manage equipment interface standard communication specifications
  • Design and develop transportation logic for materials and products
  • Manage buffers for logistics automation, including stockers and stackers
  • Develop data interfaces toward higher systems, such as MES
  • Write and analyze specifications based on standards like SEMI E87/E82/E88
  • Develop and manage data communication
  • Respond to and troubleshoot interface issues related to material control
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 0 or 2+ years of experience in developing and operating solutions and material control systems
  • Experience in developing and operating material control in high-tech industries like solar and semiconductors
  • Strong knowledge and experience in automation or MCS packages
  • Intermediate or higher skills in Java development
  • Strong knowledge and experience in writing data communications specifications related to SECS/GEM
  • Strong organization aptitude and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated reliability with excellent time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Development and operational experience with MCS solutions
  • High understanding of SECS/GEM standards and development experience
