Key Responsibilities
  1. Investigate and examine company building products on customer sites, reporting findings to the Customer Service Supervisor.
  2. Recommend replacement or repair of defective components based on customer service guidelines, assisting less experienced Field Service Reps with complex issues.
  3. Negotiate and approve third-party repair/adjustment, inspecting completed work for quality adherence.
  4. Provide training to less experienced Field Service Reps.
  5. Plan and pace work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related productivity goals.
  6. Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, you must have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two years of customer service/field service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of Truss Technician Training I and II is preferred.

Competencies
  • Knowledge of company products.
  • Knowledge of company product pricing, discount, and estimating formulas and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Work Environment/Physical Activity

This role requires working in both typical office environments and outside locations with temperature and weather variations. You must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. Work involves driving to customer locations and may involve walking on uneven ground at potential customer construction sites.
