Role Responsibilities

The Assistant Branch Manager oversees daily operations and staff management in the absence of the branch manager. This role requires the ability to perform all essential functions of any branch position as necessary, including processing transactions, conducting loan interviews, and completing reports.

Qualifications

  • A collaborative individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical functions.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workflow effectively.
  • Capable of handling situations calmly and decisively.
Key Duties
  • Work closely with the branch manager regarding daily operations.
  • Interview members for loan applications and assist with the loan process.
  • Address member inquiries about credit union products and services.
  • Deliver exceptional member service.
  • Conduct basic teller or financial transactions.
  • Guide and mentor branch employees.
  • Supervise branch staff in the absence of the branch manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution.
  • Completion of 2 years of college-level coursework.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
