Job Summary:

The Kansas Judicial Branch is seeking a highly skilled Librarian I to join our team at the Supreme Court Law Library. As a key member of our library staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, conducting research, and maintaining our extensive collection of legal resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist judges, attorneys, and the public in locating legal information and resources.
  • Collaborate with library professionals to ensure the successful daily operations of the library.
  • Maintain and enhance the library's collection, including organizing and cataloging resources.
  • Assist with research inquiries and provide expert guidance on legal research techniques.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a master's degree in library science and excellent communication and organizational skills. You should also have knowledge of professional principles, practices, and techniques of library science and legal research. Experience working with automated library catalog systems is a plus.
