Job Title: Travel Retail Manager

Join L'Occitane En Provence as a Travel Retail Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a passion for the beauty industry.

Job Summary

The Travel Retail Manager will be responsible for driving the sell-out performance of L'Occitane group brands in the Eastern part of North America, including Canada, USA, Panama, and the Caribbean. This role involves accelerating sell-out development, gaining market share, managing and coaching a team of Business Consultants, and delivering Retail Excellence in key doors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell-Out and Operations
    • Develop and implement quarterly action plans to drive brand sales above market trends
    • Manage and control dedicated investment envelopes in line with P&L guidelines
    • Monitor sales performance by store to reach targets
    • Identify new business opportunities in Travel Retail and/or via Omni-channel approaches to develop L'Occitane global sales
    • Initiate and implement Omni-channel projects in key areas to benefit top POS
    • Prepare monthly sales reports and analysis with action plans
  • Management, Supervision, and Learning and Development
    • Ensure BC investment is in line with budget P&L
    • Recruit, develop, motivate, and coach BCs to create a highly performing and passionate BC community
    • Work with store managers to control and optimize BC schedules to maximize investment efficiency
    • Deliver and implement training plans on assigned perimeters (BCs and other TR stakeholders)
    • Foster relationships with local markets training teams and organize regional training initiatives for TR BCs
  • Retail Excellence
    • Enhance L'Occitane Group Brand Image through visual, merchandising, BC grooming, and POS activities
    • Be responsible for Merchandising Execution planograms per door according to agreed assortments
    • Closely work with the marketing team to adapt merchandising guidelines to ensure sales development in stores
    • Prepare and implement animations in cooperation with the Account Executive and Operational Marketing team
    • Proactively plan promotional calendars for each door
    • Seek new business opportunities (extra space or visibility, visuals, promotion events, etc.)
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's degree in business administration or similar
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years minimum in TR, Wholesale, or Retail
    • Beauty industry experience preferred
  • Skills
    • Great sense of entrepreneurship and negotiation skills
    • Communication and diplomatic skills
    • Client-centricity
    • Result-driven achiever with ambition and motivation
    • Exemplarity and positive attitude in everyday business life
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Training, coaching, retail management experience a plus
    • Fluent in English (oral and written)
