About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Radiology team at Texas Health Plano. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex ultrasound procedures, analyzing image quality, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures to patients and their families, ensuring clear understanding and comfort throughout the exam.
  • Perform a range of ultrasound procedures, adjusting parameters as needed for age-related factors and developmental considerations.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to perform complex and invasive procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Process and manipulate images, troubleshoot, and suggest differential diagnoses.
  • Utilize PACS, Ambra, and HIS/RIS systems to ensure seamless image management and distribution.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in hospital radiology preferred.
  • ARRT certification and one additional modality upon hire required, or ARDMS certification with 2 certifications upon hire required, and RVT or VT(RVS) certification if performing vascular sonography.
  • BCLS certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
