Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including electrical systems and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs and diesel after-treatment repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repair orders and meet customer satisfaction goals.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Non-commercial driver's license CLASS E preferred.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
  • Other state driver's license as required.
  • Two years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
